UCL's world leading information security group is opening its doors and offering the opportunity to meet with renowned information security experts and industry leaders who research and teach established theory and cutting-edge practice in cyber security. There will be short talks and chance for discussion on current information security trends and challenges, followed by a drinks reception.
UCL is one of eight UK institutions to be awarded 'academic centre of excellence in cyber security research' status by GCHQ, in partnership with the Research Councils Global Uncertainties Programme (RCUK) and the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS). Information security students at UCL won the first UK Cyber Security Challenge in Code Cracking (2013).
