Open City Docs Fest is London’s Documentary Film Festival hosted by UCL. This is a live 4-day celebratory event devoted to exploring the world we live in through the vision of documentary film. Every event is 'live', with filmmaker Q&As, film and panel discussions with UCL staff, live scores, comedy, theatre, guided documentary walks, live music, food, workshops for industry, students and public.

Highlights of this year include special sessions on biographical (birth cohort) studies in film and medicine; films and debates about copyright and piracy and all our usual strands - or choose from the fantastic titles selected for the Awards by a jury chaired by Jeremy Irons (Actor & Producer, ‘Trashed’), and featuring Malcolm Grant (President and Provost UCL) and Anne Applebaum (Pulitzer Prize winning Author of 'Gulag' & 'Iron Curtain').
